Babesiosis is a tick-borne disease caused by the Babesia microti parasite. AHT’s image analysis can identify Babesia quickly and reliably in donor blood. Currently there is no FDA-approved test for Babesia in donor blood. Approximately 13 million donations should be tested annually.
